Introduction to Sitting with the Dying ~ A Meditation ~

How do we help the dying?
The call to sit with the dying can be an invitation to a deeper spiritual life.
It is a doorway, an opportunity to engage with the mysteries of our world. Dying is a journey, where we can bear witness and deeply listen to another. A willingness to be open and willing to engage with the process of the unknown can be profoundly impactful, not only for ourselves, but for others as well. Once we can learn to let go of the need to "do something," we can be fully present to the dying person and their family with our essential being.
This class is for anyone that is interested in Sitting with the Dying, including death doulas, volunteers, therapists, people that are caregiving, any people interested in death. This is a meditation practice for everyone, really.
Sitting with the Dying is a powerful way to open to self-reflection and to work on ourselves. The practice can be a calling to become more intimate with spirit and the great mystery. It is a meditation on life and can be a gift for those dying as well as ourselves. This focused meditation practice can be a doorway to greater consciousness as we walk through it.
This class is for anyone that is interested in Sitting with the Dying, Death Doulas, volunteers, people that are caregiving, people interested in Death. Everyone really. Sitting with the Dying is an powerful way to open to self-reflection and to work on ourselves. It is often a calling to become more intimate with spirit and the great mystery. It is a meditation on life and can be a gift for those dying as well as ourselves. This can be a doorway to consciousness as we all walk through it.
This class will consist of meditation, exercises and tools to help you move forward.

Introduction to Meditation
Introduction to Meditation
This class is in person. Two 1 hour sessions. Thursdays May 2 and 9th.
Join us for an introduction to basic meditation skills. This class will teach some simple techniques to quiet yourself and begin to feel what your energy feels like. Once you have the tools down you can use this technique at anytime throughout your day. Take a few minutes or an hour and gain benefits from this simple practice. Come home to yourself and find the calmness that lives beneath the noise.

Pictures and matching energies

Wednesdays April 24th-May 15th (4 one hour sessions) $100
Matching energies and "pictures" that we carry can have a big impact on our lives. Learn what pictures are, how they can become caught in our aura, and how when unprocessed they can influence what happens in our lives. Develop skills in consciously clearing these pictures and energies to be more in flow with your own energies and with the world around you. This is a powerful way to create space in our relationships and the world.

Female Grounding Session
A chance to go deeply into the practice of Female Grounding
Female grounding is a specific skill for people born female. Our bodies run energy differently. We will practice various tools to ground ourselves. Grounding can help us to focus and stay in the present moment. Female grounding can help us to anchor ourselves, stay in our own space, and to navigate the various energies that are effecting our experiences. As you begin to practice this skill you can find previously unknown support, more resourcefulness and more of a connection to your own authentic energy.

Saturday Practice Group 5 Saturdays starting April 20th.
This is a practice group. Anyone that has taken a class from me before is welcome in the practice group. This round we will be focusing on Female Grounding, Boundaries and Manifestation. This is a fluid group and real life situations are welcome and can direct the direction of the class.
Monday Practice Group begins on April 15th, noon to 1pm and goes for 5 Mondays

Once we let go of the need to do something we can be present with our being. This class is for anyone that is interested in Sitting with the Dying, Death Doulas, volunteers, people that are caregiving, people interested in Death. Everyone really. Sitting with the Dying is an incredible way to work on ourselves, a way to find our essential being. It is a meditation for life and a gift for those that are dying and for ourselves. You will never look at life or death the same after sitting with someone as they journey into death. The class will be taught twice this winter, in person and on Zoom.

Death Doula
You Have Become A Death Doula, Now What?
4 sessions ~ June 14th, 21st, 28th and July 5th.
To be a death doula is a spiritual practice. We will work with our experiences as a mirror to constantly work on ourselves. Working with whatever emotions arise, trusting that what comes to the surface, is what wants to be cleared from our energetic space. Learning to have a quiet presence is one of the greatest gifts we can offer another.
By addressing our fears, anxieties and discomfort we will find ourselves more and more helpful to the sick and dying. Learn to maintain good psychic boundaries for yourself and others. This is a rich and rewarding journey. Whether you work with the dying, the sick or your friends and family these skills will help you to sit with and respond to your patients and their families. Navigating the Energies of Grief
Tuesday ~ April 18, 2023
Explore grief and the energies surrounding loss. Individually and culturally people are experiencing new forms of grief associated with COVID-19 and social unrest. Discuss strategies for navigating grief in its various forms. Discussion followed by a guided meditation that participants can use going forward.
Taught by sisters Stacy and Sara Remke. Stacy is a Professor at the University of Minnesota Graduate School of Social Work. She is a Clinical Social Worker, as well as a grief and loss specialist. Sara has been teaching meditation and energy work for over 12 years. She is a practicing End of Life Doula.

We will work with the book Psychic Psychology and explore how our energy effects our ability to manifest, how it effects our relationships, our ability to communicate clearly and the concept of current time.
